Biography

I was born in Wichita, Kansas.  When I was 9 months old, we moved to Colorado and I grew up in the shadow of the Rocky Mountains, which gave me a lasting and rich appreciation for nature and its beauty.

My introduction to theater was handling props in a college production of  “A Christmas Carol.”  As fate would have it, I also met my future husband during the production.  Two days after meeting me, he told me that I should be an actress.  I told him he was crazy, and continued on the safe, sensible course I was on.  But the trap had been set!  I started taking acting classes and doing small theater.

Once we moved to Los Angeles, I continued to study and do plays.  My first major job was playing a court stenographer in the Jim Carrey comedy, “Liar, Liar.”  Acting turned out to be the creative outlet that I was looking for my entire life.  It is always challenging, frightening, exciting, and gives me the space to fulfill my creative impulses.
